I am a South African based artist best known for making cage doll mannequins in resin and fiberglass.

The cage doll mannequin is really the forerunner of the modern mannequins in window displays.

The form was first created by Francis of Assisi in the 13th century for the little figures in his nativity scenes. The form is the torso attached to a wooden frame structure. European seamstresses later used this form to display their latest fashions of the seasons. The wooden frame is basically a support for the skirt.
